P-RADE on SATURDAY, MAY 30, 2009 - BEGINS AT 2pm, CLASS STAGING BEGINS AT 12:30pm PLEASE PLAN ON GATHERING AT OUR STAGING AREA (TO BE ANNOUNCED) SO WE CAN ORGANIZE THE CLASS IN ADVANCE OF THE P-RADE 1) The 25th reunion class (1984) leads the P-rade, followed by the Old Guard. Other classes fall in from oldest to youngest. The Class of 1989 is sharing a band with the Class of 1964. CLASSES ARE JUDGED ON HOW ORGANIZED AND FESTIVE THEY LOOK DURING P-RADE! 2) A P-rade Marshal will direct us to join the P-rade as it passes; the P-rade Chair and appointed classmates will be available to assist with the directions. Your banner and band lead the class; classmates, vehicles, floats and other bands follow. Golf carts, vehicles and floats join the P-rade at an alternate site - they do not wait at your class staging along the route. Your class will look most impressive in the P-rade if it is organized. Participants are asked to keep moving and avoid leaving gaps between groups/rows of people. WE WILL PROVIDE DIRECTIONS IN ADVANCE OF P-RADE. 3) P-Rade proceeds Rain or Shine, except in examples of extreme and dangerous weather. 4) P-Rade ends at Poe Field.
